Clemens en August in SMBA

The fashion label Clemens and August is also calling in at Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam during its tour this year. For three days, over the weekend of 8, 9 and 10 October, SMBA is providing space for their new women's and men's collection, complete with fitting rooms and point of sale. Clothing by Clemens and August is exclusively available at the locations on their international tour. The fashion label avoids the expensive overhead costs that accompany standard sales models, such as shop rental and distribution with this tour concept.

Every season the collection enters a gallery or museum in a large city. Thus Clemens and August will be reaching its audience this autumn through institutions including Witte de With in Rotterdam, Artists Space in New York, Museum Ludwig in Cologne and the Kunstverein in Munich – the city which is also the home base for this fashion concept by Alexander Brenninkmeijer.
SMBA is now functioning as the base of operations for Clemens and August in Amsterdam. Proceeds from the rental income will benefit the exhibition budget.
