17TH VIDEOBRASIL BROADENS FOCUS AND BECOMES INTERNATIONAL CONTEMPORARY ART FESTIVAL

Enrolment is open for the 17th International Contemporary Art Festival SESC_Videobrasil, due September 2011 with a new name and significant structural changes from the previous editions. The Southern Panoramas Competitive Exhibition, previously restricted to video works, is now accepting other artistic experiments, such as installations, performance, and book-objects or artist books—artwork that uses printed media or publications intended to be works of art. The new competition expands its ability to encompass diverse manifestations, including those that depart from the single-channel format.
